The Government wants 'real people' to share in local government decisions
The Department for Communities and Local Government has announced its Empowerment White Paper, designed to give local residents more of a say in their councils' decisions. Sarah Lockett talks to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, the Rt Hon Hazel Blears to find out what she is proposing and why she feels change is needed.
