Former Chair of LGA dies
Lord Sandy Bruce-Lockhart loses long battle with cancer
As tributes pour in to Lord Bruce-Lockhart, who stood down as chair of the Local Government Association in 2007, the Local Government Channel screens his last interview. Shot in July 2007, as Bruce-Lockhart was leaving his position at the LGA, he reflects on his years of service in local government. Lord Bruce-Lockhart, known for his passionate belief in the importance of local decision-making and the ability of councils to change people’s lives, will be sadly missed.
