Local Council's get involved in promoting family services to their communities

The Local Government Channel speaks to Kevin Steele, Director of National Family Week, about this new initiative promoting families and family life. From 25th - 31st May 09 there are a range of exciting events across the country, from picnics and films through to sports days and reunions, all designed to celebrate family life. National Family Week is already the largest coalition on family issues in the UK. Charities, community groups, statutory bodies and faith networks are all taking part in this annual event and local councils are being encouraged to take the opportunity to get involved and promote their family services to the community.
