School Crossing Patrol Operative, North East Lincolnshire Council
Mrs Beryl Quantrill has been employed by her Local Authority as a school crossing patrol operative since 1964 that equates to 43 continuous years service and has worked for four different authorities through regional changes. Mrs Quantrill has stood outside Queen Mary Primary School as a school crossing patrol operative for over 30 of her 43 years service. For the past 11 years she has helped out with a local group of Boys Brigade. She is also actively involved with the children from her school. She attends the school and talks to the children on Road Safety issues on a regular basis. She also helps out with the children age ranging from 6 -15 years at their school dance club.
