Senior Investigations Officer - Revenues & Benefits, Leicester City Council
Stuart Limb was appointed Senior Investigations Officer in April 2006, subsequently developing a refreshed and creative team for investigating benefit fraud in Leicester's Housing Department. This followed a period of poor performance, low morale and a difficult government inspection. Stuart has given inspirational leadership and outstanding support to the team, leading to greatly improved working. Returning inspectors said the overall upturn in performance was commendable, the investigation team was 'well motivated and focused' and 'morale was high'. The result is that the team have risen from being ranked 206th in the country to 9th within a period of 12 months for tackling benefit fraud.
