Headteacher, Reading Borough Council
Sue Bourne is Headteacher at The Avenue Special School in Reading. It's a very special school and she's a very special person. She's turned the school round from the brink of closure to an 'outstanding' school (Ofsted 2008) She helps care for 81 pupils with very complex needs She's won a number of awards for the school's work.
